I was honored and delighted when the above pair started showing up on the Amazon page for my book Tortitude: The BIG Book About Cats With a BIG Attitude. Not only have I been a huge admirer of Gwen Cooper ever since she published Homer’s Odyssey in 2009, I’m fortunate that Gwen has become a dear friend over the years.
I can only dream to reach the esoteric heights Gwen has reached for her books (Homer’s Odyssey became a New York Times bestseller two weeks after its publication,) which is why it made me so happy to see that people are frequently buying Gwen’s new book Homer: The Ninth Life of a Blind Wondercat and mine together on Amazon.
In Homer: The Ninth Life of a Blind Wondercat, Gwen covers Homer’s life after the publication of the international bestseller. We learn about what it was like for Homer and Gwen to be in the limelight, and how the duo turned their fame into a vehicle to help other special needs cats. We get to visit with Homer’s “sisters,” Scarlett and Vashti again during their final years of life, and we get to meet Clayton and Fanny, the two black kittens Gwen adopted after Homer was grief-stricken after Vashti’s passing. Read my review here.
Remember that $1 for each copy of Tortitude: The BIG Book About Cats WIth a BIG Attitude ordered before February 5 goes to help at-risk cats!
Donations will go to the Jackson Galaxy Foundation.
