Tunnels are an easy way to provide environmental enrichment for cats, and they can provide hours of fun for both solo and interactive play. I had a feeling Allegra was going to love the Magical Mewnicorn tunnel.Continue Reading
Sometimes, the best toys are the simplest ones, and what cat doesn’t like paper bags? The folks at Dezi & Roo have taken this concept just a little further and created the Hide and Sneak Paper Tunnel.Continue Reading

I absolutely love these wood cat tunnels from Happy Little Rascals. They were clearly designed by someone who understands cats. The tunnels are made of wood and nylon carpeting in Woodland, CA, and are sturdy enough to stand up to even the most rambunctious kitty play. These tunnels will not tip over and are perfect for rest, play and scratching (inside and out.)Continue Reading
From the makers of the super popular Neko Flies cat toys comes the new U J I Tunnel System. With its three unique interlocking shapes, cat guardians can make over 20 different configurations to keep cats fully entertained and happy. The system can accommodate different size rooms and play areas.
Cat tunnels are a wonderful addition to any home. They can provide a safe hiding space for “bush dwellers,” cats who prefer to stay low to the ground and tend to seek out spots that are hidden, such as under an end table, or even under the sofa or bed. Tunnels also provide endless hours of play. Allegra and Ruby were very excited when they got a chance to review the Ultimate Cat Tunnel from Pets Can Play.Continue Reading
The Cuddle Coil from Petstages is a combination play tunnel and cat bed. The sturdy coil “cave” has only one end open, the idea being that it can provide a safe and secluded spot for your cat. The interior is a soft, almost fleece-like material, the outside is a sturdy parachute type material that makes a crinkly noise when touched.
Allegra and Ruby, my two little product testers, were more than ready to test the cuddle coil. They could hardly wait for me to get it out of its plastic case (which, by the way, is really nice, and resusable). Allegra immediately marched into the coil as soon as I put it on the floor – not even a second’s hesitation! Ruby, not to be outdone, wanted to follow her inside, but Allegra didn’t think that was a good idea. You can see the “discussion” here:Continue Reading
Most of us consider our homes cat friendly. We provide scratching posts, cat trees, and lots of toys to keep our feline family members happy and entertained. But how many of us have an entire house that was designed specifically for cats?
The house, owned by a family with 16 cats and 5 dogs, features beautifully designed modern furniture and various structures that were created especially for cats: shelves and platforms with rounded corners, bookcases that work like stairs, hidden tunnels and passageways, catwalks on the ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling scratching post and all kinds of other goodies meant for discovering, climbing, playing and of course sleeping. The architecture is very open and invites a lot of natural light to every room.
Be sure to visit The Cats’ House website and look around. I don’t know Japanese, but the page headers are in English, and it’s well worth clicking around for more images of this stunning house.
Here’s a video to give you an idea about what this amazing house looks like:
