Cozy Cat Beds for Cats Who Are Cavers

cat-bed

Do your cats like to snuggle under blankets or comforters? Do they like to sleep partially covered? Jackson Galaxy calls these cats “cavers*.” These are the cats who will often find a space in a closet or under the bed, and you may not see them out and about as much as other cats. It’s important to provide alternate, safe spaces for these kitties so they can cave in comfort.

We have two cat beds for you that will make your caving kitties purr!Continue Reading

PawPack Subscription Box Review

PawPack-subscription

Subscription services for pets are becoming more and more popular. The concept is simple: for a monthly fee, you receive a box a month filled with treats and toys. The contents of the box are picked for you, so each month brings new surprises for you and your feline family members. Allegra and Ruby are completely on board with this idea: after all, what could be better than receiving a box of treats and toys every single month! They were super excited when the teal box from PawPack showed up at our house.Continue Reading

Review: Vesper Cat Furniture

Vesper-V-Base

I first saw the new Vesper line of cat furniture from Hagen at Superzoo in Las Vegas last summer. I fell in love with it on the spot. It’s quite possibly the most beautiful line of cat furniture I’ve seen, and I see a lot of cat furniture. When I saw it again at Global Pet Expo last month, I loved it just as much, and picked it as my choice for Best in Show.

The entire line offers the purrfect combination of beautiful design, cat-friendly materials and absolutely wonderful workmanship. All of the pieces are simply stunning. They feature different combinations of platforms, cubes, and tunnels, and plenty of scratching areas.Continue Reading

Cat trees are a must have for indoor cats. They satsify cats’ need to climb, they provide a great view of the outdoors if placed near a window, and they offer an outlet for cats’ natural instinct to scratch. Cat trees are especially important in multicat households, giving cats opportunities to share territory on more than one level, without bumping into each other and creating possible altercations.

With so many options for cat trees, ranging from basic carpeted models to wooden works of art, there are plenty of choices for discerning felines and humans. Continue Reading

Review: The Ultimate Cat Tunnel

cat-tunnel

Cat tunnels are a wonderful addition to any home. They can provide a safe hiding space for “bush dwellers,” cats who prefer to stay low to the ground and tend to seek out spots that are hidden, such as under an end table, or even under the sofa or bed. Tunnels also provide endless hours of play. Allegra and Ruby were very excited when they got a chance to review the Ultimate Cat Tunnel from Pets Can Play.Continue Reading

The Original Cat’s Trapeze: Cirque du Soleil for Your Cats

cats-trapeze

When I first heard about the Cat’s Trapeze, I had visions of Allegra and Ruby flying through the air in a feline version of Cirque du Soleil – Cirque des Chats anyone?

Okay, no. It’s not that kind of trapeze. The Cat’s Trapeze is a unique product designed to provide active cats with an alternative to climbing the curtains and furniture. The sturdy cotton fabric withstands heavy use and the soft cushions provide a perfect place to nap. You can read our review of the Cat’s Trapeze here.Continue Reading
