Cannabis, also known as medical marijuana, remains a controversial topic. But more people are realizing how effective it is at treating the symptoms of many human conditions, from cancer and AIDS to multiple sclerosis, pain disorders, glaucoma, epilepsy and more. Cannabis is also being used to help treat pets, including cats, and for many similar conditions, such as seizures, pain and inflammation, cancer symptoms and even behavioral problems.

Current laws don’t allow vets to prescribe medical marijuana to their patients. However, cat parents can purchase and administer it in the form of capsules or tinctures. Never feed the plants to cats or expose them to the smoke. The latter can result in a toxic overdose.

  2. I was giving my kitty CBD Oil drops for her arthritis pain. It seemed to help her, but I never knew for sure. I do know the heated bed I bought her releived her pain. She had been limping, and after a week using the heated bed, her limp was gone. She spent much of the last year of her life in that bed. She loved it.
