I’ve adored Mayim Bialik since she starred in Blossom in the 1990’s. I loved her in Big Bang Theory. And I just know I’m going to love her even more in her new show, Call Me Kat, because one of her co-stars will be a tortie!
Call Me Kat is based on the British TV comedy Miranda, and stars Bialik as a 39-year-old woman who decides to use the money her parents had been saving for her wedding to buy a cat-themed cafe.
The show will premiere on Fox on January 3.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been excited about a new TV show, but I can’t wait for this one!

I’m looking forward to it also!
This sounds like a great show and I’m glad you said it’s on regular Fox so I can watch it. I have two 17 year old torties so it’s purrfect for me!
We sure hope it has good writing and is fun with a lot of cat humor.
I will definitely catch this!!!!
They didn’t get the headline wrong. I noticed that especially in the UK, calico and Tortie are interchangeable for them. So either is correct.
I know in the UK they use the terms interchangeably, but since it’s a US publication, it bothered me 🙂 And that cat is most definitely not a calico by US standards.
A tortie is soooo different than a calico! Both are incredible – but, Torties have a ‘one person’ only attitude and are simply amazing….
The cat is definitely a tortoiseshell, as calico is white with patches of orange and black. Torties, like Calicos, are always females, yet they are calling her a “him”. Gorgeous cat! Wish there was more time with the felines, and less silly dialog!
Is this a regular fox channel or will it require netflix
Regular Fox network
I haven’t been interested in any of the comedy shows lately, but this one sounds like one I would enjoy.
I know what you mean, Janine. I have high hopes for this one!
If they have cats, it’s gotta be good.
