When a gorgeous white and tabby cat showed up at meteorologist Jeff Lyon’s Indiana home 11 years ago, he couldn’t have imagined that she would become one of the superstars of the pandemic. Lyons has been working from home and set up his “studio” in his dining room. Betty kept insisting on being part of the show, and Lyons’ viewership  now includes people from all around the world. For more about Betty, visit BoredPanda. Lyons has also created a Facebook page where he hosts weekly Q&A sessions with Betty.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we celebrated Mother’s Day, on Monday, we explored the small pockets on your cat’s ear, on Tuesday, we rounded up some of our favorite Petmate cat beds, on Wednesday, we featured an article about remdesevir and the almost identical black market FIP cure, on Thursday, we reviewed the Basepaws Cat DNA test, and on Friday, we reviewed The Dalai Lama’s Cat and the Four Paws of Spiritual Success.

Today’s video of a kitty tucking himself in is sure to make you go “awww” – enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

  1. I love Betty the weather cat! One of the guys on my local news always shows his pets, but it’s only when one happens to want to be seen.
