Mews and Nips: Scandinavian Company Offers Pawternity Leave for New Pet Parents

Musti Group, the leading pet supply company in Scandinavia, offers a 3-day parental leave to its 1,500 employees, 90 percent of whom have pets. “Adopting a pet is a significant decision and changes everyday life considerably,” said Musti CEO David Rönnberg in a statement. “We want to support our employees during their first days with their new family member and ensure that they can enjoy those precious moments to the fullest.” European countries have always been far ahead of the US when it comes to work-life balance, and I love that this company made pawternity leave an employee benefit. If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we told you how cats see the world, on Tuesday, we introduced you to Hoo-RAW frozen raw cat food, on Wednesday, we shared housecleaning tips for busy cat parents, on Thursday, we featured Trap King Sterling Davis, and on Friday, we reviewed Hello! My Name is Bunny!

While most cats are fascinated with bathrooms, I don’t know many who love water as much as the kitty in today’s video – enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

I think it’s great that they offer pawternity leave. I wish places in US would do that. It is a very important time in people’s lives.
