Mews and Nips: Michigan Police Department Swears in Cat as First Pawfficer

Pawfficer Donut is ready to report for duty! The little rescue cat was sworn in as the official police cat at the Troy, MI police department. Donut’s role is to raise awareness about animal adoptions and rescues. She will also be featured on the department’s social media pages and interact with the community. For more about the adorable new feline department member, visit WSB-TV Atlanta.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we celebrated Mother’s Day, on Monday, we explained how changes in your cat’s eye color can be an indicator of a health problem, on Tuesday, we reviewed the Jackson Galaxy Stain and Odor Remover, on Wednesday, we told you about Cat Art Show LA, and on Friday, Allegra and Ruby had a birthday surprise for me. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a t-shirt from RC Tees!

The kitty in today’s video found a new way to enjoy a robotic vacuum cleaner – enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
