I recently came across some rather unique cat jewelry on Etsy: Melissa Meaker, a Canadian jewelry designer, makes custom jewelry from your cat’s nose or paw prints.

The pieces are made from fine silver, which is 99.9% silver. You will receive a mold kit after purchase. Melissa will make your piece within 3 days of receiving your mold print. Everything ships from Canada.

My Fine Silver Designs offers pendants, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and more.

Unfortunately, i doubt that Allegra or Ruby would let me take a mold of their adorable noses, but as long as your cat doesn’t have an issue with having her print mold taken, these pieces make wonderful keepsakes. According to Melissa, it only takes a second to get the mold, and she has a detailed video on her Facebook page to explain how it’s done.

I can’t decide if the cat nose is freaky or adorable….I think I am leaning towards adorable with a touch of freaky…a DEFINITE conversation starter!

I love the nose print idea, but doubt my cats would let me do it., especially my old guy who has really bad allergies. Sometimes just touching his nose causes sneeze attacks with boogies flying everywhere.
