Many cats prefer, some even demand, to drink running water rather than drink from a bowl. The conventional solution is a recirculating fountain, but many fountains are cumbersome to disassemble and clean. And, of course, fountains require electricity and constant refilling.

The AquaPurr elegantly solves these problems. The AquaPurr is positioned next to a sink and is connected to the aerator of the faucet with a diverter valve, which allows the faucet to be used normally, or to supply water to the AquaPurr. When the cat steps on the AquaPurr, their weight opens a flow valve located on the bottom of the AquaPurr. That valve supplies water to the AquaPurr spigot for the cat to drink from. When the cat steps off the AquaPurr, the water flow stops. No electricity is required.

59 Comments on Giveaway: AquaPurr Cat Drinking Fountain – No Cleaning, No Refilling, No Electricity

  1. I have a fountain but Casey waits by the sink for me to turn on the faucet. I’d love for him to be able to get fresh water whenever he wants it.

  2. My kitty, Katie, demands that I turn on the faucet for her to drink from it. I usually wait until she has had enough and then turn the water off. I think this would be a huge hit with not just Katie, but all of our kitties. They are very smart and can figure this out very quickly. Thanks for the fun giveaway.

  3. Some of my cats would love this, plus two of them have illnesses that require more water intake. I would love it because I’m tired of cleaning their fountain, buying filters, and wasting electricity

  4. My cat, Ms. Mouser has kidney disease and my vet recommended that I get a fountain for her, but I didn’t like the idea of having to plug into an electrical outlet. Water and electricity don’t mix and I didn’t want to take a chance with my cat getting hurt. This would be perfect for her, it would help her drink more water.

  5. Being disabled this would be great for me and my 2 senior kitties. the fountain i had got expensive to use and heavy for me to keep emptying. So winning this one would be fantastic!

  6. I would love to win this for my cats, it will be a great cost-effective way to encourage them to drink water. Plus they get exercise by jumping onto the counter to drink 😀

  7. I’ve been wanting something like this for awhile. My cats love fresh water so much that they come running when I refill the container.

  8. My 3 boys are fresh running water freaks. I can hardly brush my teeth in the morning, cuz they’re all crowding around to get a drink. So this would be ideal for me and them! Thank you for the chance to win one!

  9. My princess kitty Zelda would love this! I like that it doesn’t use electricity & you don’t have to take it apart to clean. I hope we win!

  10. My cat is on prescription food because he doesn’t drink enough water. This would be a great way to encourage him to drink more.

  11. This may be one of the most brilliant solutions to the cat hydration problem ever! My older cat Leonardo has a slight urinary problem kept in check by diet and adequate hydration. the problem is that like many cats he simply can not comprehend a standing bowl of water. the water must be in motion for him to drink it, and he must – every day!

  12. Wow , this looks fantastic ! My Scooter luvs nothing but fresh water ( bathroom sink) . Santa kitty may have to get this (or winning one would be puuuurfect! )

  13. My cat Joey is crazy for fresh water and I hate to leave a faucet running and I don’t like the idea of a fountain.

  14. I run a cat rescue & cleaning all the multiple water bowls & removing catnip mice from them takes a lot of time. I would love to win this wonderful fountain & so would my 14 cats who would have a blast with it!!!

  15. What a fantastic idea! I need to replace our current water fountain and this looks like the perfect solution. We would love to win this.

  16. I would love this! We have a fountain but my cats definitely prefer the sink. They beg me to turn it on every chance they get. I always worry about them getting enough water.

  17. My Daisy would love this. Will only drink from bathroom faucet, won’t touch water in bowl. She comes and gets me and cries when she wants a drink. Could really use this for when I am not at home.

  18. My cat Taylor LOVES to drink from the faucet. Everytime we go in our bathroom she will sit on the counter and meow until we turn it on for her. This fountain is a great idea and would be perfect for her!!

  19. I would love to win this. I worry about my cats drinking enough fresh water. Tortoiseshell Bindi waits for me to turn the water on in the bathroom so she can drink from the sink. This gadget is ingenious.

  20. I have 2 recirculating water fountains. Having to run the fountain constantly is a waste of electricity when the cats sleep most of the day away. Then there is the clean-up; fur in the filter and worrying about breaking the ceramic basin. This is an excellent, eco-friendly solution!

  21. This is so cool! On the one hand, I’m not sure I want to encourage Bear to get on the counter … but I like that there’s no motor noise (for my scared-y cat) and there’s no additional running costs for filters and electricity. I wouldn’t look forward to training him to use it, but it would be incredible to succeed!

  22. I have one cat who demands fresh water every time he drinks. In fact he has gotten where he wants the water bowl to be held for him while he drinks. No, he’s not spiled at all. 😉

  23. This would be perfect as we are not home enough to fill up a bowl that needs water, this is a much better option. Would be so helpful!!

  24. I worry about my cats drinking enough water. They used to drink out of the pet fountain just fine until we moved to our current house. The water is filtered and nothing else has changed. Now the only time I see them interested in water is from the bathroom sink. I’d love to try this out.

  25. I want my cats to drink more water to stay healthy and if running water will allow them to drink more, then I would like to win an Aqua Purr cat fountain. I have one that plugs in, an electric one, but I do not leave it running 24 hours a day. I do give them filtered water from the Brita pitcher every day because I love my three cats.

  26. This is a great idea! My landlord pays the water bill so I worry about leaving the water running for my finicky cats. This would be perfect for my cats that insist on running water. I have always been a little afraid of electric fountains.

  27. This would be amazing for my cats who want to drink from the faucet but are too afraid of the noise of running water

  28. This would be wonderful for my cats! They are always running in the bathroom waiting for me to turn the water on for them, they would absolutely love this.

  29. Wow would I love to be chosen to receive this Aqua-Purr fountain because I have several geriatric cats at my house and they are in the beginnings of age-related kidney failure; keeping them properly hydrated is critical for their health, and from experience many years ago with a younger cat who went into adrenal and renal failure, he loved to drink from a diverter fountain I once had rigged to capture toilet fresh water refill into a reservoir but they could drink from a similar spout until the tank refilled then shut off until the next flush. This would solve that problem.

  30. I would LOVE to win this Aqua Purr fountain for my 3 furbabies because drinking fresh water is very important to cats and I am always looking for great things for my kitties over all well being as well as play items! I think Zannie, Buddy & Kallie would love this fountain and I would as well as it requires no electricity!

  31. id like my cat to have that such the neatest thing like i could be outside and some food might have gotton in the water bowl and well if i had this i wouldnt worry about it

  32. What a great idea! Given how much our cats love playing with the tap when we are cleaning our teeth, this is sure to be a big hit with them!
