A Street Cat Named Bob, the movie, is being released in a limited number of theaters in the US today. I have been following the story of James Bowen and his Street Cat Named Bob ever since the first book was published in 2012. I’ve been cheering for this pair all the way as their story went from being an international bestseller to multiple additional books and finally, to the big screen.

Sadly, the movie is not being released anywhere near me. I’m hoping it’ll do so well in limited release that it will eventually be shown in more theaters, but until then, there’s a small consolation for me and for those of you who also can’t wait to see the movie: the soundtrack to the movie is available as an audio cd.

You can purchase the soundtrack from Amazon for $11.98 with free shipping for Prime members. The soundtrack is also available as an MP3 download for $9.99.

  1. Please let us know when there will be a video we can purchase of this movie. As you know it is not playing anywhere near any of us.

  2. I want to see this movie so badly. Does anyone know if there is a way to find out where it is playing, without just putting in a certain zipcode on a specific movie theatre’s website? For example, I wish there was a site where you could see where it is playing in each state or even which states were showing it. Does anyone know of anything like that? I would be willing to drive to another location if it wasn’t too terribly far.

      • Thank you for letting me know, Ingrid. I totally missed that. Sadly, I am not near any of those locations. Like so many others have said, I hope there is a wider release and it comes out on DVD. I know you’ll keep us posted. Thanks for all you do.

        • It was playing at a small theater here in Atlanta for just one week. They said the local Atlanta Journal Constitution wasn’t listing it with the other movies playing at that theater, so very few people knew it was playing there and they didn’t have enough patronage so they stopped showing it. It was very frustrating. No other theater in Atlanta was showing it. Not even on Comcast On Demand. grrrr
