Mews and Nips: All Ads in a London Underground Station Have Been Replaced with Pictures of Cats

cats-london-tube

For the next two weeks, The Citizens Advertising Takeover Service has replaced 68 ads in a subway station on London’s Tube system with pictures of cats. This is not a marketing stunt. The people behind CATS (get it?) are volunteers who raised the money to do this on Kickstarter. They want to inspire people to think differently about the world and realise they have the power to change it. James Turner, the man behind this initiative, talks about how this all came together on Medium.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we remembered 9/11, on Monday, we celebrated Happy Cat Month, on Tuesday, we announced that our 2017 Wall Calendar featuring Allegra and Ruby is now available for purchase, on Wednesday, I shared the link to a recent radio interview with Steve Dale, on Thursday, I introduced the new Hauspanther Collection of feline furniture, which is finally available on Amazon and elsewhere, and on Friday, we reviewed John Bradshaw’s new book, The Trainable Cat.

Today’s video shows the London Tube station with all of the cat ads – so cool!

Have a great weekend!

I love the cat ads. I saw this on the news also and thought it was a wonderful story. I wish we could see more stories like this on the news.

Is the actual name of the station a state secret?

It’s Clapham Common, Sarah, as mentioned in the article.
