Honest Kitchen

When it comes to feeding our cats, less processed is better. The ultimate diet for an obligate carnivore like the cat is a raw diet, but not every cat guardian is comfortable with the concept. Dehydrated raw diets are an easy way to get the benefits of a raw, minimally processed diet. Cooking at high temperatures destroys many of the nutrients and enzymes in food. Dehydration helps lock in the freshness of the ingredients, resulting in very little loss of nutrients and enzymes.

The Honest Kitchen has been one of the leaders in the dehydrated raw food industry since 2002. Founder Lucy Postin started the company in her own kitchen, where she was looking to find a diet that would help her dog Mosi’s ear and skin problems. When she saw the results in Mosi, she realized that other pets could benefit, too, and a company was born.

We’re giving away three of The Honest Kitchen’s products for you to try:

  • a 2 pound box of Prowl, an all natural grain-free cat food made with free range chicken, eggs and produce like sweet potatoes, spinach and cranberries.
  • a box of Pro Bloom, shelf-stable instant goat’s milk with digestive enzymes & probiotics
  • a bag of Smittens treats. Smittens are high-protein, low fat treats made from pure, wild, line-caught Haddock from the pristine waters off the coast of Iceland.

  1. I would love to win these products! I have 3 young cats but lost my oldest boy Duncan in December 2013. He was diabetic and it wasn’t until later in his life did I find out through my own research that most cat foods (even the expensive stuff the vet recommended) was high carb and filled with junk. Now all my cats do the low carb food thing and I think these would fit in great for them to try.

Thank you for the chance to win!

  2. I have 10 yes 10 cats and an always looking for new products they would like so to win would be great to give them a chance at trying this food

  3. I just started my little dog on Honest Kitchen, and she’s doing great! I really want to try it on my cat with digestive issues. He has become an extremely picky eater, so if it works for him, it will work for the rest of my cats.

  4. I would love to be able to try a healthier food for my kitties. I would probably donate the milk to a rescue group or maybe i can foster another litter of kittens soon.

  5. I would like to win Prowl, Smittens and Pro Bloom
from The Honest Kitchen because my cats are absolutely in love with the Honest Kitchen. We started off from Friskies Seafood Sensations Purina Dry Cat Food, but my 17 year old cat had started getting lots of allergies, itchy skin, digestion problems, weight and fur loss. I thought this was the end of him, but I was doing a lot of research, and found the Honest Kitchen. I am 100% sure it saved his life. After a week of feeding, his hair started growing back, his problems improved, he gained weight, and maintained a healthy diet. I have two cats who adore it! The other one is 10 years old, has always been on the chubbier side, and now is at a healthy weight. The Honest Kitchen is part of our life and will be as long as I have my fur babies. I have also shared this, and would love to win this for my fur kids, they mean so much to me, and I want the best for them.

  6. Ooo, I love to feed my cats a healthy, grain-free diet. Would love to give my kitties a taste and see what they think!

  7. I’ve tried several of the Honest Kitchen cat flavors, and none of my seven cats liked them. I so want to have a back up for when we run out of frozen raw that they’ll eat, so I’d love to try this..

  8. I would love a chance to win this for the kitties at the shelter where I volunteer (oldest no cage, no kill shelter in the US).

  9. I’m always interested in finding healthy, wholesome food for my cats! Thanks for offering this giveaway!

  10. My 20 year old girl is very picky when it comes to food. I’m always trying to find new foods for her!

  11. I would like to try this at the Shawnee Om Shanti Cat Sanctuary and see what the kitties think of this food.
