I love seeing the concept of cat cafes spreading. Cat cafes have been in existence in Japan for quite some time, but the idea is slower to catch on in other parts of the world. Recently, Paris opened its first cat cafe. Time Magazine reports that the Café de Chats is home to 12 felines who treat it like their personal living room and just roam around as customers go about their business. The goal is to provide some “purr therapy” to Parisians who can’t keep pets in their tiny urban apartments. All 12 of the cafe’s cats are rescues adopted from local shelters – and I love that at least one of them is a tortie! Read the full story in Time Magazine.
