Fountains are a great way to encourage cats to drink more water. Water is critical to keeping your cat healthy. While cats get moisture from a raw or canned diet, they should still have plenty of fresh water available at all times. Cats as a species don’t have a high thirst drive, and this can lead to chronic low-level dehydration if a cat is fed mostly dry food, which in turn, can lead to urinary tract and kidney problems.

With Thirsty Cat Fountains, you’re not only adding to the health of your cat, you’re also adding a piece of art to the decor of your home. These gorgeous, one-of-a-kind fountains are handcrafted in the US. They are made with food-safe glazes (Thirsty Cats Fountains makes their own glazes, so they know exactly what goes into them) and durable pumps.

The fountains were inspired by company owners Keith Davitt and Jackie McKannay’s cat Bijou. When they placed the first fountains they designed around the house, they found that Bijou drank from them far more than he did from his water bowl. Bijou now serves as chief product tester and critic.

  7. My cats are always trying to drink from the sinks and routinely knock over their water bowl whilst trying to determine if there is in fact liquid in it! One of these would solve this little problem for us! I’d love to have this for my boys

  8. I’m always trying to find new ways to get my cats to drink more. I have three girls and one large boy–two of which hardly drink at all. This fountain would be a great motivator for them to get hydrated!

  9. I have 6 cats that already love to drink out of my faucets. My dog loves to drink lots of water too!!

  10. My boy, Pooh Bear will race me to whatever faucett I am going to just to be first to get the water. I know he would love one of these.

  11. We would love to win one for one of our adopters who adopted one stray and one abandoned cat. She lives in old house and this handcrafted type of water bowl would be ideal and encourage her cats to drink more water. Paws crossed.

  12. I would love to have this beautiful fountain in my living room for my CFR kitty, He needs water at his convenience in every room.

  13. My George who insists on drinking only moving water, would love this! I’m forever having to turn on the bath tub tap for him to drink water. He hates sitting water! I actually hate giving him our tap water as it is fluoridated. 🙁

This gorgeous fountain would enable me to give him clean non-fluoridated water. 🙂

  14. These fountains are so beautiful! I would love to have one to get my two older cats with chronic renal failure to drink more water!

  15. I would love these for my cats. They love interesting ways to get water and to play. They would love this. Can’t wait.

  16. We have two wonderful cats and one of them has a kidney deficiency that he needs to drink more water. This would be a wonderful way for them to enjoy the water bubbling around and then come up to take a drink. Thanks for making these available and we would love to win.

  17. I’ve owned one of these in the past but could always use another for one of my 13 rescued felines. They were all rescued as strays…these fountains are purr-fect 🙂

  18. I have two Kitty’s, Tinkerbell and Rudy Bear. Kids came from being found under a shed with some cuts and stuff and they have adjusted and are now so very loving. Rudy does not drink water. I have never seen him drink water. Tinky hops in the shower each day when I get out and drinks whatever is dripping which only lasts for a few seconds. I put fresh water down for them day and night but they don’t drink it. It can’t be good. They would LOVE this!!! Would love for my kitty cats to win this but I’m happy for any cat to:)

  19. Would love a fountain. My 11 year old boy recently diagnosed with early stages of some sort of kidney disfunction so he needs to drink alot more water. Thank you!

  20. I have a plastic self water dish and my fur babies sit in front of it constantly. The problem with it is you can’t clean the inside of the plastic container and eventually throw the thing out. I think they would enjoy this and I would trust it so much more. I would even enjoy watching them with it! Thank You! Going to share on my page.

  21. This is so lovely! I think our rescue cat Betty might actually drink water from one of these. Or she might try to fight it, because she seeks to battle most things (cardboard, vacuums, plants) but would still likely get some fluid in her. 🙂

  22. Would love that!! We have a household of “special” needs kitties and two of them are totally blind (we also have two other blind kittens we are fostering). Have a water fountain is something that would help our blind babies find the water easier and give them the independence they deserve.

  23. We currently use a water fountain that was working well for my cat until a few months ago when the pump gave out. We replaced it but for some reason, my cat doesn’t drink from it as much anymore. We have to put more water in her wet food to make sure she’s hydrated. This would be great!

  24. Would love for my two rapidly approaching senior age kitties to be encouraged to drink more, especially in the desert heat and dry season. Sharing on Facebook

  25. I would love to have this for my boys. Although they already have a different type of fountain, I have to admit that I do not keep it as clean as I should due to the complex design. With this fountain, I would have no problem keeping it clean and filled with fresh water for my sweeties.

  26. I have 15 cats in my home – 6 are mine, 9 are foster cats for Angel Cat in So. California…. they all want to drink from the faucet, this would be so great instead of them all trying to fit into the sink at the same time! And such a beautiful work of art to drink from too!

  27. Our 2 torties would love to have a fountain like this. We just got them switched over to much healthier food and having this would be another great step to healthier kitties.
