The folks at Mountain Cat Trees make some of the most beautiful cat trees and scratchers I have seen anywhere. All of their cat hand-crafted cat furniture is made with real trees, with the bark removed. Their designs are absolutely stunning. The furniture is made with a variety of surfaces for scratching, such as a  textured pine base and sisal rope.

I was delighted when they offered to give away one of their 35″ vertical scratching posts to one lucky reader! This super sized scratching post is designed to handle the biggest and tallest cats out there. At 35 inches, the sisal rope post is 7 inches taller than their original vertical scratching post. The 20″ square and 4″ high base ensures that this scratcher will not tip over. The top has a space just big enough to allow for perching. Isn’t this a fabulous scratcher?

Can’t you just see your kitty perching on top, feeling like he’s the king of the world?

Wouldn’t your feline love to be able to scratch and stretch at the same time? Maybe your kitties will be the lucky ones to win this scratching post!

  1. Jackson’s our beautiful big feline pussy cat, that we saved from being starved, plus he needed urgent vetinarian treatment, due to having a seriously injured leg, where the ligaments were tawn, from his paw, right up the back of his leg! We adopted Jackson into our animal family 14 months ago, where he shares his Pussy and Puppy Hilton, with Bear, his Maltese X Pomeranian puppy dog! Jackson, could accommodate a scratching board with a perch in his sun room, looking out into his water featured, Australian novelty garden! Jackson would feel superior, sitting on his perch, stirring his Bear dog!

  2. Love the cat stuff, but honestly not many people can afford to drop over 50$ on a scratching post for their cat or cats. It’s really nice stuff I agree, but in the world economy today. I could only dream of buying these items for sale for my cat and shelter. 🙁 I will have to keep looking at other stores, but good job and best of luck to you all.

  3. I would love to have this cat scratching post because I’ve been taking in strays, socializing them, and either finding homes for them, or giving them up to a no-kill shelter to find homes for them. To have something like this, could possibly help them to be more trusting sooner. When I first get them inside, they hide under the bed and it’s only with a lot of time and patience that I’m able to coax them out and they feel safe. With this, they might feel safe sooner and it could help to make the process a bit quicker.

  4. Since er have windows mostly in the sealing in our flat
, i know that my 3 cats are going to love it. They can sit ånd follow the
    traffic outside.
    . And i love you Jackson 😉

  5. I’d like to win this scratcher because I’d donate it to North County Humane Society in Atascadero CA. NCHS cats would love to have a really tall scratcher like this.

  6. Wow! We can never have too many things (besides the furniture) to scratch on. We would love to win one of these Vertical Scratching Posts. Thanks for the chance to win one.

  7. I’d LOVE to win this scratching post. I thought mine was tall but it’s not THAT tall. Mine is also kinda worn out. I’d donate it to my shelter A Call 4 Paws if I won a new one. Size matters to this little kitteh.

  8. My boyfriend and I adopted our cat Suki just a few months ago. She LOVES to scratch everything, and I hate reprimanding her for scratching on the furniture (especially because she’s still getting comfortable; we’ve made strides with her but she still needs to come out of her shell). We’ve gotten her the cardboard scratchers but they just don’t last and I know she would love to have a place of her own to just relax and scratch.
She also loves to squirrel, bird and people watch, and I know that this would go perfectly by her favorite window!

  9. Tasha would LOVE to have something of her very own to scratch on. I’m quite sure she is tired of tearing up the corners of my walls and cupboards with those claws of hers! 😉
Being an indoor kitty, she doesn’t get a lot of action, so her favorite thing to do is squirrel watching. This would be purrfect for her to perch by the picture window to watch the squirrels in the tree out front!

  10. Mongkut is a very shy, indoor, only cat. He would love something like this because he could hide but still keep an eye on everything.
