Mews and Nips: Fun at the National Capital Cat Show
I spent this past weekend at the National Capital Cat Show just outside of Washington, DC. I sponsored the Learning Ring, which featured presentations all weekend long ranging from feline health topics to training your cat. My own presentation was about something those of you who read The Conscious Cat already know a lot about: conscious living, health and happiness for cats and their humans.
Quite a few Conscious Cat readers stopped by, and it was so much fun to meet some of you in person. I also got a visit from Racy Mooner, shown in the photo above. Racy is quite the celebrity cat, look for a feature about her here on The Conscious Cat soon.
Teri Thorsteinson’s cat Coco, of Curlz and Swirlz, got all dressed up to visit our booth!
And yes, there were show cats, too, although I didn’t have much of an opportunity to watch any of them. I was too busy talking to people at my booth. You can see more photos from the cat show on my Facebook page.
If you missed any of the stories featured on The Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: On Monday, we told you why food allergies in cats can be challenging to diagnose and treat, on Tuesday, we shared health tips for senior cats, on Wednesday, I shared how I fell in love with my cats and asked you to share your stories (the comments on this post are beautiful!), and on Friday, we reviewed a children’s book titled KeeKee’s Big Adventure in Paris, France. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a case of canned food for you, and one for your favorite shelter, from I and love and you.
I can relate to the kitty in today’s video: sometimes, I feel the exact same way when I’m waiting for a document to print!
Have a great weekend!
