I’ve always loved Susan Lordi’s Willow Tree collection. IThe “With Affection” angel, a small statuette hugging a cat, has been on my meditation altar for many years. These small figurines have no recognizable faces, and yet, they convey deep emotion beautifully. “Willow Tree is not necessarily a likeness; it’s a reminder of someone we want to keep close, or a memory that we want to touch,” writes Susan Lordi on the official Willow Tree website. “I hope that people recognize subtle expressions or gestures of those they love, and select pieces that are uniquely meaningful for them.”
There are three figurines in the current Willow Tree line up that feature cats, and today, I’d like to share them with you.
Willow Tree With Affection Angel
This lovely figurine of an angel holding a cat is 5 inches high. Susan Lordi hand carves the original of each Willow Tree piece. The figurines are then cast from Susan’s original carving and painted by hand. The wings are wire. This makes a wonderful gift for someone who lost a cat. Willow Tree Love My Cat
This adorable cat figurine is one of the newest offerings in the line. It is three inches high. Buy from Amazon with free shipping for Prime members.
Willow Tree Kindness Girl
This sweet little figurine is three inches high. Doesn’t it capture the love between the cat and the girl purrfectly? Buy from Amazon with free shipping for Prime members.
All of these figurines make wonderful holiday gifts for the cat lovers in your life. I think the angel also makes a lovely gift of comfort for someone who has lost a cat.
