Mews and Nips: Walter the Cat Becomes Star of Chevy Commercial

cat-car-dashboard

Did you happen to catch the new Chevy truck commercial featuring a grey tabby cat? Walter the cat became a star in the ad, a spoof on the usual “a man and his truck and his dog” meme that is more commonly used in these types of ads. Walter plays with balls, herds cows, and even fetches a stick. For more about how Walter became a star, visit Musebyclio.com.

Mews and Nips: Two Rescued Kittens Become Best Friends

kittens-rescued-best-friends

Two kittens rescued separately ended up at the same shelter in New York, and became best friends when Jess Thoren, a fosterer from KittenBnB in New Jersey, took them home. Jess had come to the shelter to rescue another litter of kittens and just knew she had to take little Frankie home as well. Two weeks younger than the other kittens, he quickly became a part of the family, but became particularly close to Dracula, a little black kitten. For more about Frankie and his friends, visit LoveMeow.com.

Today’s video cracked me up. Visionary artist Jonathan created a short film after putting a camera on his model train to film the miniature town he created. In the process, he captured his cat Mittens wandering about, creating a vision of a world in which giant cats roam. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

Mews and Nips: Tortie Kitten Insists on Staying With Foster Family’s Son

chimera-kitten-rescue

When a litter of three-week-old kittens was found on a baseball field in the Bronx, Sunny, a local animal rescuer, took the kittens home. There was no sign of the mother cat. One of the kittens, a tortie, quickly took a special liking to Sunny’s son. She wanted to be held and cuddled by him, and if anyone took her away from her favorite person, she showed a hefty dose of tortitude even at her young age. Mews and Nips: Amazon’s New Boxes Can Be Recycled Into Cat Condos

I’m pretty sure Amazon is most cats’ favorite retailer, especially now when so many more humans are shopping online. After all, what’s more fun than a box when you’re a cat? Well, cats are going to be even happier when their humans’ orders will start arriving in Amazon’s new sustainable packing materials. Their “less packaging, more smiles” program uses less packaging material and combines orders into fewer boxes, and, bonus, the new boxes can be reused to create cat condos, box forts, and more! For more on Amazon’s new boxes, visit USAToday.com.
