I just can’t get enough of James Bowen and his Street Cat Named Bob. I’ve been following the pair ever since the first book was published in 2012. Watching this rags-to-riches story of an orange cat changing James Bowen’s life from down on his luck drug addict to bestselling author unfold has been pure joy. The movie was only released to a limited number of theaters in the US late last year, and I know many of you have been waiting for the digital version.

I have good news for you: the movie is now available from Amazon Instant Video! You can rent the movie for $4.99 or purchase it for $12.99.

  1. I just read your interviews with James Bowen from 2015 and 2013. Any chance you’ll get another interview with him for an update? Maybe you can persuade him and Bob to come to the US!

  2. Does anyone here know if this has made it to Hulu or Netflix yet? If not I will rent it from Amazon but if I can get it for free with my other subscriptions even better!

  3. “A Street Cat Named Bob” has been nominated for Best British Film by the National Film Awards and it is chosen by the viewers. Please vote! It is easy, just register and then go to the Best British Film and select Bob. You don’t have to vote for every category. Here is the link:

We need to get Bob more recognition!

  4. This is for internet viewing, correct? I’m hoping that they release a DVD version so that I can buy a copy. Let me know if you hear of that.

  5. I enjoyed the movie as much as I did the books. We have AT&T Uverse and we rented it through right after they released it.

  6. This is lovely news for all followers of Bob and James should be a total sell out I think. Good luck to the pair of them – they deserve it all. Share your thoughts on this very inspiring life story, Ingrid
