My canvas print of the girls
The photo above was taken in 2015, and it’s one of my favorite photos of Allegra and Ruby together. Seeing them relaxing together in our sunny bedroom always made me happy, and I love how they both looked right at the camera when I snapped this photo.
I chose the 16×20 canvas mounted on a white shadow frame. I couldn’t believe just how gorgeous this print turned out. I wasn’t sure how well the photo would reproduce at that size, but it is absolutely beautiful. Between the size, and the vibrant print, it’s almost like Ruby is still right there on my bed.
I hung the print in my hallway, where I can see it from the living room, and every time I walk back and forth from my office at the end of the hall. Right now, it still gives me a pang of sadness each time I look at it, but I know in time, that will soften. Seeing the girls lounge together on my bed always made me so happy. Having that memory preserved in such a beautiful tribute is priceless.

I also got to try their Mix Blox. These 1”-thick, 2 by 2 inch acrylic glass blocks reproduce your photos with a striking depth effect. Of course, I used some of my favorite photos of Ruby for the blocks. And didn’t they turn out beautifully!
