We all know cats love boxes. We also know that not all humans love having used shipping boxes all over their home. As much as Allegra enjoys boxes, I admit that I’m hesitant to bring shipping boxes inside. They’re usually pretty dirty after sitting on a truck for days, and dirty boxes and white carpet – well, you get the idea. Enter Cardboard Cat Homes: all the fun of a box and then some, and they’re super cute, too.
Cardboard Cat Homes are eco-friendly cat houses created with love in a home facility in Walnut Grove, CA. They are made from 100% recyclable cardboard.
The cat houses ship flat, but despite my trepidation when I saw all the different parts, they were super easy and quick to assemble.
The castles can be customized, and we felt that “Princess Allegra” was appropriate for ours. The princess went inside to explore immediately, I didn’t even have to use the catnip that came with it to entice her. She quickly settled for a nice nap. Most days, she likes to survey her kingdom and her minions (aka me) from inside the castle. It also makes for fun play time for both of us: I tease her with a toy through the various windows.
Cardboard Cat Homes work closely with shelters and donate supplies and goodies to at least one shelter for every five orders they receive.

FTC disclosure: We received this castle for review at no charge. I also received a fee to feature these products. Receiving the free product and the fee did not influence my review. All reviews on The Conscious Cat will always reflect my honest and unbiased opinion, or, as the case may be, Allegra’s honest and unbiased opinion.Â
