You may have already heard of Grandpa Mason, the formerly feral cat with kidney disease who fell in love with a group of foster kittens after he was taken in by a rescuer. He turned out into a wonderful foster granddad. His most recent admirer is a tiny tortie kitten with a cleft palate. LoveMeow reports that while Aura loves to give all the kittens baths and snuggles, Grandpa Mason is her favorite, and the two can be seen snuggling together, with Aura nursing Mason’s ear. If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we told you about a new study that hopes to find better treatments for feline heart disease, on Tuesday, we reviewed Jackson Galaxy’s new convertible scratchers, on Wednesday, Allegra talked about her job as my purrsonal trainer, on Thursday, we featured adorable cat lights from Triple T Studios, and on Friday, we reviewed My Cat’s Album, a scrapbook for cat lovers.

Today’s video features little Aura and Grandpa Mason, but be forewarned: you will experience sweetness overload!

Have a great weekend!

4 Comments on Mews and Nips: Tortie Kitten Loves Formerly Feral Cat

  1. I follow Aura and Grampa Mason on Tinykittens YouTube page and Grampa Mason has been a good surrogate grandpa to the kittens that come to Tinykittens. Shelly Roche does an amazing job!!

  2. Grandpa Mason reminds me a lot of my cat Bootsie. She’s a former feral too! We have two other cats, and she loves to snuggle with and groom them.

  3. I have been following TinyKittens Rescue for a while now and was so excited when I saw the change in Grandpa Mason. I think all he needed was to be shown some love and he totally changed. I love how sweet he is with the kittens.
