It all started with a photo posted by Twitter user “Mac” of her cat Simon gazing adoringly through a window at another cat in a neighboring building. “My cat Simon is in love with my neighbor’s cat,” tweeted Mac. What started as a single tweet turned into an epic romance better than any romantic movie you’ve ever seen. Was Simon’s crush returned by the neighbor cat? Visit boredpanda to find out.
If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we told you about the new Diabetes Educational Toolkit from the American Association of Feline Practitioners, on Tuesday, we reviewed Cat Ladder Feline Furniture (get pre-order savings on Kickstarter now!), on Wednesday, Allegra and Ruby refused to talk about the mystery of the great Jackson Galaxy Donut Bed switch, on Thursday, we featured a combination scratching post, hammock and condo, and on Friday, I recapped my weekend at Cat Camp NYC.
Today’s video shows the cats at Big Cat Rescue cooling off with some giant popsicles – sardini martini anyone? Enjoy (and maybe this will give you ideas for a cool summer treat for your own kitties!)
Have a great weekend!

I always love a heart warming love story, but when it involves my very best animal friends, yes, ‘you guessed,’ cats, cats and more cats,
‘well, what can I say, but, ‘ ‘Oh, my goodness,
I love it.’ And to the big big cat, snow leopard, jut enjoy your extra large sardine popsicle, my friend.
A shelter volunteer told me he puts ice cubes into his cats’ water bowls. When they hear the ice being taken out of the tray, they come running. So I started putting ice cubes into my cats’ water bowls, once / day. Any time of year they love it. When they find a bowl with ice cubes in it, they drink more water.
What a great idea!
That’s so cute. Have a great weekend.
I love Simon and Theo’s story. They each have Twitter pages so I am following them now.
