I’ve always felt that cats and yoga make a purrfect combination. Good Mews cat shelter in the Atlanta suburb of Marietta, GA, agrees. The shelter is hosting yoga classes in its cage free adult cat room. The classes have been a huge hit and sell out almost as soon as they are announced. For more about the cat yoga classes, and some wonderful photos, visit CNN.com.
If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, I remembered Buckley, on Monday, on Monday, we offered winter tips for feral and stray cats, on Tuesday, we reviewed Balanced Blends raw cat food, on Wednesday, Allegra shared her experience with the Thanksgiving turkey, and on Friday, we reviewed Cat Castles: 20 Cardboard Habitats You Can Build Yourself.
Today’s video of a Japanese cat staying warm on his “kotatsu” made me smile – don’t you just want to crawl under the blankets with him? (A kotatsu is a low, wooden table frame covered by a futon, or heavy blanket. Underneath is a heat source.)
Have a great weekend!

I remember when I used to do yoga and Miss Kiki used to want to help. but she used to try to get under the mat and always made me laugh. It was hard to concentrate on what I was doing.
Thank you for covering our fabulous Good Mews yoga story! As a volunteer and board member, I invite you to visit us anytime you’re in the Atlanta area.
I would love that, Elizabeth!
