Two years ago, I was honored when Arabella Carter-Johnson wrote a guest post for us, introducing us to her very special autistic daughter Iris and her Maine Coon cat Thula, who was instrumental in helping Iris open up and communicate in ways that she hadn’t done before. Iris, now six years old and an accomplished artist, and her artist assistant kitty are featured on Bored Panda with photos that are sure to make your heart sing. I’m currently reading Iris Grace, Arabella Carter-Johnson’s first book. It’s one of the most heart touching books I’ve read in a long time. Look for a review soon!
If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap:On Sunday, we celebrated Ruby’s 5th adoption anniversary, on Monday, we told you about the benefits of laser therapy for cats, on Tuesday, we introduced you to a fabulous window seat for cats, on Wednesday, we shared some super cute gift ideas for Mother’s Day with you, and on Friday, we offered some tips on how to celebrate Earth Day by going green with your cats. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway to win a Lacey’s Lookout™ Window Seat for your cats!
Just when I thought Didga couldn’t possibly get any more adventurous, I came across today’s video of Didga “surfing” on the back of a dog. Enjoy!
Have a great weekend!
