Meow MeetUp Chicago, the Midwest’s largest cat convention, takes place July 20 and 21, 2019 at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The event has a long lineup of activities that are geared toward cat lovers of all ages.
Some highlights:
- Destress with a kitty yoga session or pamper yourself at the nail paw-lor.
- Looking for a new feline family member? Meet adorable adoptable cats from the Almost Home Foundation at the cat café, the kitty yoga studio or the adoption lounge.
- Feeling creative? Paint the purrfect tribute to your pet! Sign up for a pet portrait painting session and paint your pet under the guidance of an artist.
- Educate yourself about cats: cat experts that will be covering topics from how to help community cats to clicker training and much, much more.
The event partners with a variety of rescues and donates a generous percentage of their ticket sales sold through rescues back to those organizations, so even if you’re not able to adopt a new feline friend, attending the event can still help make a difference for homeless pets. Last year, the event raised $10,000 and donated 16,000 cats of cat food.
