We’ve featured several case histories over the past several months of how the Assisi Loop has helped cats with various conditions. Today, we’re excited to feature a video of how the Loop helped its most famous patient, Lil BUB.
BUB was born with several genetic mutations, including a shorter lower jaw and no teeth. She also has dwarfism, which means she will stay kitten-sized for her entire life, and she is the only cat in recorded history born with a rare bone condition called “osteopetrosis”. When BUB began to lose mobility and soon was hardly able to walk, her “dude,” Mike Bridavsky, was worried that she might have to be euthanized. Mike heard about the Loop from a fan, and was shocked by the improvement in BUB after he began using it for only a few months. Mike has been using the Loop for five years, and BUB continues to get two treatments a day.
How the Assisi Loop Works
The Assisi Loop, created by Assisi Animal Health, is a non-pharmaceutical, non-invasive device that provides targeted pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (tPEMF™). tPEMF, which was first studied in the 1970s and is FDA-cleared for use in humans, uses low-level pulses of electromagnetic energy to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanisms to help relieve pain and swelling. This therapy can benefits cats with pain associated with arthritis, pancreatitis, wounds, or post-surgical swelling as well as many inflammatory conditions. The Loop is well tolerated by most cats. In fact, many cats really enjoy receiving Loop treatments. Because the Loop stimulates the body’s own healing process, rather than introducing a new substance (like a medication), even a sensitive cat body can handle it easily.

Glad Lil Bub recovered. Love Happy endings
I read about the Assisi Loop on The Conscious Cat. I knew I had to get one for my 14 year old Siamese, Appicotta, who has arthritis. She would take a few steps and lie down. Then a few more and lie down. I knew she was suffering. Assisi Animal Health sent information to my veterinarian. He ok’d the Loop with 3 refills! Appi gets up to 3 treatments a day. She walks, sits, plays, and I know she feels better. I bought a second Loop, but the first one is still going strong at 174 treatments. Thank you, Ingrid, for telling us about this wonderful product!
I love hearing how the Loop helps! Thank you for sharing your experience with Appicotta, Judy.
I’ve tried entering every giveaway there has been for one of these – it’s just not in my budget, but I have a senior cat with health issues and now my 9-year-old Coonhound girl, Kyoko, is having issues – including advanced arthritis in her hips and back legs. I found a similar item – lower power so it needs to be used for longer periods of time, but didn’t require a prescription and cost a lot less. If I feel it’s helping either or both of my furbabies I got it for, I’ll definitely look into getting money together to get an actual Assisi Loop.
Ingrid, loved this post!! Lil Bub and Mike are so PAWsome!! I haven’t had a need for the Assisi loop, but one never knows as most of my cats are seniors. Will definitely keep this in mind!! ♥♥♥
I’ve been following Lil Bub for several years now and heard about her Assisi loop treatments. While I’ve never used one for my own babies anything that helped Bub, and many others, with health concerns is good in my book. ❤
