Admit it: you love watching cat videos. They’re always good for an instant “awww” or a laugh, and they just make you feel good. If you think watching cat videos on your computer is fun, just think how much more fun you could have if you were to watch them on a big screen, with thousands of fellow cat lovers?

Internet cat video festivals have made this possible, and the Los Angeles Feline Film Festival is your next opportunity to attend one of these super fun gatherings. The festival kicks off on September 21, 2014. It will feature real cats, cat videos, exhibitors, and more.

You’ll even get to meet some famous cats: Lil BUB and her “Dude,” Mike Bridavsky, will answer audience questions. Tara the Hero Cat will also be at the festival.

There will be musical performances throughout the afternoon to keep you entertained prior to the beginning of the video portion of the festival.

But wait, there’s more! The festival will also feature a crazy cat costume contest, food trucks, a beer tent, vendors, and cat adoptions from local rescue groups. Attendees are encouraged to come wearing their favorite feline attire. Guests are welcome to bring their cats if they are comfortable with crowds and on a leash or in a carrier.

Sponsored by Organikat and the Walker Art Center, this event is sure to be a day of fun and excitement for cat lovers.

About the Walker Art Center:

The Internet Cat Video Festival is a project of the Walker Art Center, a nonprofit contemporary art center in Minneapolis, MN. The world’s first-ever Internet Cat Video Festival was conceived at the Walker in 2012 as a modest celebration to bring online communities together in the real world. Catvidfest became its own viral phenomenon, drawing more than 10,000 fans to the Walker’s Open Field green space and winning the attention of local, national, and international audiences and media. More than a collection of cute cat videos, Catvidfest is an embrace of an internet phenomena and experiment in transforming a solitary online viewing experience into a real world social event.
