If you like displaying special items around your home in something other than a cat-proof curio cabinet, I have the purrfect solution for you: museum putty!

Even though I’m not a fan of clutter, I like to have some special items on my shelves, including ceramic cat statues. And all have survived intact, thanks to something called Quake Hold, which is a catchy  name for museum putty.

Quake Hold is non-toxic and is easy to apply on any surface. It works on walls and furniture and it’s easy to remove without leaving any residue.

Allegra is pretty good about carefully making her way around objects. Ruby wasn’t, to her, everything was a toy. I still remember the look on her face when I used museum putty to thwart her efforts of batting a little bowl off the partition between our kitchen and dining room.

Quake Hold is available from Amazon.

This is a great idea. Thanks for the tip. I want to think my cats are pretty well mannered, but you never know when one might get a little silly and get on a shelf or something. I have a collection of white Lenox cats that I would cry if one got broke. I am even afraid to dust them. This putty might be a good idea for when I am swiffing the duster around them.

It will definitely work for that, Janine. I never thought about using it for items I’m afraid to dust around! I have a couple of glass kitties on a high shelf that Allegra most definitely couldn’t get to, but I’m always nervous when I dust around them.

I have a habit of dropping things because I rush when cleaning. I added this product to my Amazon shopping cart for when I have enough to get free shipping.

I know this may not be correct, but I do kind of love Ruby even more for being that little bit naughty, and love Allegra more for being less naughty. Cats are so wonderful for so many reasons, not least their diverse personalities ❤️

As frustrating as Ruby could be at times, I loved her sassiness amd miss it so much, Lynette.
