We already have two of PetFusion’s fantastic scratchers: the iconic Ultimate Cat Scratcher Lounge, and the three-sided vertical scratcher. Both have held up exceptionally well. When I was looking for a smaller scratcher, PetFusion was nice enough to send me their flip pad scratcher.

Cat Scratching Flip Pad features

Made of recycled cardboard with non-toxic corn starch glue, this clever design is really two scratchers in one: it flips over for a varied look and feel. The subtly curved design is pleasing to the human eye.

The small scratcher’s dimensions, as shown above, are 19. 7 x 10. 2 x 3. 2 inches. It also comes in a larger 27 inch long size.

Like all PetFusion products, the scratcher comes with a 6-month satisfaction guarantee.

Putting the PetFusion Scratching Flip Pad to the test

Allegra didn’t even quite let me put the scratcher down before she started going to town on it. I think she’s quite pleased with it because she’s used it every single day. And it makes me happy because  it’s the perfect size for the space I wanted it for.

My apologies for the poor lighting in the video.

The PetFusion Scratching Flip Pad is available from Amazon.

  1. I actually wanted to note that I own the two largest of the Pet Fusion scratchers. I ordered the first one very hesitantly because they ARE a little more expensive but was thrilled when it arrived. Super heavy, a great size with really dense carboard. As soon as I put it down on the floor our three cats were arguing over it. And through it. And around it. Within a few weeks I ordered the second one, and my cats were thrilled. I have them both in the living room and at least one of them is occupied at all times.

I’d say that, for cat furniture, They look really really good and have aged well. They no longer look new, but they also don’t look tattered and no loose bits flaking off. I’m really happy with ours. The only thing I might have changed is that I ordered the white edge banding. In retrospect I’d get the black, to hide dirt. I really wish they offered an edging the same brown cardboard color but at least when I ordered, it wasn’t an option.

These are some of the things I would definitely buy again.

  2. This is a great scratcher for the price. My guys go through them pretty quickly. I like the “lounging” side, or I should say the kitties will really like it. The flip side has those nice curved edges that look like an excellent spot to really dig the claws into. Perfect demonstration and modeling from Allegra.

  3. Hello, unfortunately these scratchers are not that good quality, they make as much mess as any other scratcher made of cardboard… but also, I have 7 rescue cats using them around the house so that does not help…:-)
