Mews and Nips: Lost Cat Follows Hikers to Swiss Mountaintop

cat-in-snow

In one of the  more unusual rescue stories I’ve come across, a cat who was lost for four days on a Swiss mountain followed hikers who were heading for the summit. The hikers kept an eye on the kitty and carried her part of the way until they were able to hand her over to another group of hikers who were on the way down to the valley and reunited the cat with her owners. Visit People.com for the full story and some amazing photos.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we reflected on habits, on Monday, sticking with the same theme, we shared five habits that will keep your cats  healthy, on Tuesday, I told you why I consider the Fuller Brush Carpet and Floor Sweeper a must have, on Wednesday, Allegra talked about how I almost ruined her window perch, on Thursday, we reviewed a luxury cat bed from Tuft + Paw, and on Friday, we featured Mother’s Day gift suggestions.

Today’s video of a feline water connoisseur made me smile. This looks like something Allegra would totally do if I had a water dispenser.

Have a great weekend!

The poor cat looks scared to death. This cat is one lucky cat to be rescued. At least a devastating
story ended up in a positive way.

What did they feed the poor little cat? Sausages and Swiss Cheese?

Hopefully he kept a full tummy. I imagine they fed him what ever they had with them.
