Mews and Nips: Man Browsing Real Estate Listings Sees His Own Cat Lounging on Neighbor’s Bed

A man in the UK was browsing an online real estate listing for his neighbor’s house when he spotted someone he recognized in one of the photos: his own cat lounging on a bed in the house. “The neighbours just put the house up for sale. Couldn’t resist checking it out on Zoopla. That’s our bloody cat,” Michael Hubank wrote in a post on Twitter. For more about the wandering kitty, visit

That is a weird situation; it’s almost as if the man was supposed to become aware of where his cat ended up at. Life can be very strange, very similar to losing an item, and you look and look but the item is no where to be found. Then out of no where the item always seems to turn up.

Funny about how many cats have several homes if they are allowed out to roam, Hope he now is an insider. Great way to get a meal MOL

That’s funny. I bet it was a surprise seeing his cat on the sale listing. Years ago, a cat wondered into my yard and wouldn’t leave. I checked with neighbors about who he belonged to and no one knew. A few days later I noticed a car at the house that I couldn’t get to answer their door and went over to ask and the guy said it was his but he was out of town so much he couldn’t take proper care of him. he asked if I wanted him. Yes I did. A couple months later, the daughter got locked out of their house and came over to use my phone and saw the cat and started getting upset and said that was her cat and her father told her he ran away. I told her how I came to have him and she said I could just keep him as they were moving anyway. It made me sad to know her father lied to the family about their cat. Right before they moved, I came home from work that day and found some of his things on my porch including a little Christmas stocking with his name on it.

That’s such a sad story on so many levels, except for the fact that he ended up getting to live with you! The cat obviously must have been loved if he even had his own Christmas stocking. I will never be able to understand some people.

Sadly, he got caught up in a divorcing couple and the husband was not a cat lover. The daughter obviously loved him. At least he had a good home and didn’t have to be outside again. I lost him in 2001 to cancer. I also lost my job that day because I took off an hour early to take him to the vet.
