I created Tortoiseshell Cat Appreciation Day last year in Ruby’s memory to celebrate torties in all their uniqueness and beauty. I’m hoping that every year on April17, the internet will be flooded with photos of torties. Help me turn Facebook, Instagram, and any other social networks you’re a part of brown, tan, gold, black, cinnamon and all colors in between. Let’s bring awareness to these often misunderstood cats and their tortitude.

If you’d like, you can use our Tortoiseshell Cat Appreciation Day logo to create your own photos. Simply click on the image below to download a blank frame and use your favorite photo editor to create an image with your own tortie. All I ask is that you don’t alter the frame and leave the copyright and URL at the bottom of the frame in place in anything you create.

On April 17, the internet will be a more beautiful place because it will be taken over by torties!
Allegra is ready to celebrate and hopes that you will join us!
My precious torti Purrcilla was my best friend for 19 years. After two years without her I’ve been working with a sweet girl named Spice. She was left in my backyard as a kitten but it’s taken a while to get her to trust me. There’s definitely something special about a tortishell.
Is there a Ginger Cat Appreciation Day? Hope so
Calendar is marked❣
Torties Rock! Lost my 18 yr old Tortie in 2020-now I have rescued another Tortie who is 4 yrs old. She is a dilute type, named Esme, half Sphynx and half dom. shorthair.
I couldn’t get the photo to show in your frame.

I still have mine image saved from last year and ready to use it to celebrate this special day.
I didn’t know you did this! How wonderful. We’ll definitely post lots of out Blazie Marie and her “cousin” at my mom’s house. The 17th is going to have a TON of tortitude!
