Mews and Nips: Mick Jagger Welcomes Black Cat to His Family

I had no idea Mick Jagger was a cat lover! Earlier this week, the Rolling Stones front man introduced new family member Nero to his Instagram followers. I didn’t think I needed another reason to love Sir Mick, but there you have it.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we introduced you to the Love and Above Cat Club, on Monday, we addressed the difficult topic of suicide in the veterinary profession, on Tuesday, I reviewed the Eusoh community health plan, on Wednesday, Allegra told you about how she “helped” me paint our coffee table, and on Friday, we reviewed Immortal Cat. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway to win a Supakit collar and leash, and you still have a few more days to enter our anniversary giveaway!

Today’s video shows a scene that I see almost every afternoon: Allegra getting comfy in her beloved Marshmallow bed in the late afternoon sun. I gave her the bed for Christmas, and she still uses it every single day, which makes me so happy!

Have a great weekend!

Hello! Thank you for sharing such interesting information with us! I didn’t know that Mick Jagger was a cat lover either. I also like Mick Jagger love black cats, it seems to me that black cats are the cutest and smartest cats! I have 3 cats and two of them are completely black. And thanks for bringing up such important topics on your blog, such as the high rate of suicide among veterinarians, I think it is extremely important to raise such difficult topics and most importantly, try to change something for the better.

That is amazing. It does your heart good to see a celebrity adopt a needy cat and especially a black cat

Mick.Jagger is my rock icon and happy to know he has adopted a black cat named “Nero” which should go a long way in making black cats popular as well as discard the myth that they are unlucky. Isn’t Mick Jagger and the “Rolling Stones” one of the most popular and longest lived rock group in history and still performing to a audience half their age.
