Sunday Quotes: Light at the End of the Tunnel

tunnel-light-cat

This past week, for the first time in almost a year, I really started to believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s not a train heading for us.

Even amid the solemn remembrances of the more than 500,000 lives lost, there were increasing signs of hope for a brighter future. New infections and deaths are down, vaccinations are up, and it feels like the pandemic coming to an end is now more a question of when rather than if.

And while we have no way of knowing what that end and a new post-pandemic world will look like, I do feel a bit lighter. It seems like now, it’s just a question of hanging in a little bit longer, and surely we can all do that?

How are you feeling these days? Are you feeling a little more hopeful?

I totally agree. Life feels a little “lighter” and with spring coming, things can only get better! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It’s amazing how you often express exactly how I’m feeling.

I know we still have a long road ahead of us in terms of learning how long the vaccines’ protection will last, and when we can feel safe to truly “open up” and to plan travel without worrying about an ‘outbreak’ derailing our plans. But being able to get the vaccine has made a major difference for me in terms of feeling hopeful and sleeping better.

Of all the newsletters on the internet, yours, Ingrid, is the best. Today’s Sunday Quote proves why: You write about life as a whole which, for many of us, is an existence shared by humans and their cats/cats and their humans. You also share your feelings and ask your readers to share their thoughts and feelings, as you do today. Thanks.

As for me….. I take one day at a time. For being hopeful, I try to be. Having my kids does help.

Great quote! It is a good reminder that what we are going through is only temporary.
