Cats have been crashing Zoom meetings since the beginning of the pandemic (and probably long before then, we just didn’t all Zoom as much as we do now.) Earlier this week, feline Zoom participation rose to a whole new level when an attorney accidentally signed on to a virtual court proceeding with a cat filter, and then couldn’t figure out how to remove it. “I am not a cat,” he insisted as he frantically tried to remove the filter. If you haven’t already seen the video that went viral almost immediately, click here to watch it.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Sunday, we offered a resource to help you stay calm in the middle of so much chaos, on Monday, Dr. Niesman wrote about the importance of using behavior changes as a diagnostic tool to help senior cats, on Tuesday, we announced the opening of RompiCatz’ new Amazon store, on Wednesday, Allegra shared why she loves laundry day, on Thursday, we told you about 1TDC™’s Valentine’s Day sale, and on Friday, we reviewed Let’s Talk Cats.

Today’s video show a very determined kitty – enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

2 Comments on Mews and Nips: Zoom is So Much Better with Cats

  1. That’s hilarious!!! I don’t do zoom so I don’t know about these filters but that was really funny! So I guess you could have a zoom meeting where everyone purposely signed on with a cat filter and you would have a whole clowder of cats talking to each other.:)

  2. The lawyer video makes me laugh every time I see it. I have never done a zoom, skype or any kind of live video app, but I can imagine my cats would be getting in my screen. I can’t even do speaker phone without one trying to see where the other voice is coming from.
