I have to be honest: when I first received the pitch to review a toy called KittyWhip, I almost declined. It just seemed like such an awful name for a cat toy. But once I took a look at the toys, I decided to accept – and I’m so glad I did.
KittyWhip features
At first glance, they don’t look like much. A string on a stick – how exciting could this possibly be? Well, let me cut to the chase: of all the wand toys we have in our home (and we have a lot of them,) few others have held Allegra’s interest like these.
Handcrafted in the USA from natural and sustainable materials, these toys feature a sturdy wooden wand. They come in three different versions: a thin cotton rope, a leather rope, and a thicker sisal rope. The design has a patent pending. They are extremely well made and have a nice hand feel to them. They also come in a “junior” version for small kittens.
Putting KittyWhip to the test
Allegra went completely nuts for these toys. She pounced and chased after these strings like a kitten, and she didn’t want to stop. Normally, she gets bored after a few minutes of play. Not with the KittyWhip. In fact, whenever I try to put the toy back in the closet, she follows me and cries and cries until I start a new round of play!
I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see my girl so engaged in play. I still don’t like the name, but this toy deserves our coveted Seal of Approval.

I HIGHLY recommend this toy and thank you, Ingrid, for the recommendation! It’s a winner.

November 17, 2020 at 8:04 am (2 months ago)Do you think buying two different kinds up front is a good plan? The leather and thin cotton? I feel weird buying not just one but two strings on a stick for my cats hahahaa.

November 17, 2020 at 4:47 pm (2 months ago)Allegra loves them both so I can’t tell you whether it’s the variety she loves or just the toy itself, but even after a few weeks, these toys still get her jumping and chasing like few others I have seen.
