Review: RompiCatz Rustlin’ Mylar Toys

RompiCatz makes some of the best cat toys on the market. These toys from the creator of the popular Neko Flies are designed to engage your cat’s natural hunting and prey instinct. Ellen understands the importance of mental stimulation and physical exercise for indoor cats. She has been creating toys that move and act like real prey for many years. Her toys provide endless opportunities to keep cats happy.

The Rustlin’ Mylar Toys are Ellen’s newest offering, and they’re fantastic. These toys feature “bugs” made out of mylar that make a rustling sound when they’re moved around.

We received the Winged Bug Teaser, Iridescent Teaser and Butterfly Teaser. Allegra was immediately intrigued. She barely let me get the toys out of the packaging! She danced around me feet and cried while I unwrapped them.

Rustlin’ Butterfly Teaser

The Rustlin’ Butterfly Teaser features a wand with three adjustable butterflies on a thin wire. As you can see in the video below, Allegra went absolutely nuts for this toy. You’ll have to excuse the at times shaky video, my hand eye coordination isn’t great at the best of times, and using the toy with one hand and filming with the other was a bit challenging!

Rustlin’ Winged Bug Teaser

The Rustlin’ Winged Bug Teaser features a wand with a thin but sturdy thread and a blue and pink bug that makes an enticing rustling sound and dazzles in the light. As you can see in the video below, this toy was a big hit with Allegra, too.

Rustlin’ Irridescent Teaser

The Rustlin’ Irridescent Teaser features a wand with multiple irridescent wings – a great toy for close up play, and also as a training tool.

I absolutely love these toys, and the fact that Allegra can’t get enough of them.

Thank you for the review on these new “Rustlin” Neko toys, Allegra and Ingrid! The videos really help get a feel for the action and sound of them. Thank you.

I’m looking for a new toy for Henry (one interactive and one “it’s there when you feel like it” item.

The YEOWWWW banana has been the go-to for the latter for years but it’s time for something new and novel.

THe rustling toys have a noise that’s painful to my ears, so those are out. Da Bird was a hit for 3 months, until some unknown mishap made him ignore/avoid it. Can Dancer was never of interest.

Might you have any suggestions w/ affiliate links I can use to pick something?

My kits absolutely love these toys. They carry them around when they are not playing with them. The plush tip pleaser is the mack daddy favorite of them all!!

Thanks for sharing RompiCatz. I hadn’t heard of this brand but I can see why Allegra loves them. Kiki and Lulu would love them. It might even get Pele’s interest (though she doesn’t show a lot of interest in any toys anymore).
