I have one 2020 Conscious Cat Wall Calendar left in my personal inventory, and I’m going to give it away to one lucky reader. To my knowledge, this is still the only calendar on the market that exclusively features tortoiseshell cats.

I always have this calendar hanging in a prominent spot over my desk. This year, it will be a bittersweet reminder of my precious Ruby. Ruby is January’s girl, and I’d be lying if I said hanging the calendar on Wednesday didn’t unleash a whole new wave of grief. I hope that in time, the pain of missing her will soften, and the photos of her, and of her and Allegra together, will bring memories and smiles along with the tears. Right now, that doesn’t seem possible.
