Dreams become reality when you pursue them, but even if you never pursue, never stop dreaming because then you’ll stop living. Shoot for the moon and if you have to settle for the mountain top then get back to dreaming and start planning all over again; it’s all worth it.

I have a question about my cat. My cat is 12 and sleeps most of the day. Should I be concerned? I would say she sleep 20-22 hours a day.

Cats typically sleep 16 to 20 hours a day, so I probably wouldn’t worry too much unless your cat is showing other signs of a possible illness, but when in doubt, it’s always a good idea to get her checked by your vet.

I am so sorry you’re hurting. It is very hard losing one of your babies.

I’m so sorry, Brenda. I know it’s so hard. You may want to read some of the articles in our pet loss section, along with the comments from readers – maybe you’ll find something there that will help you cope with your grief, or at least feel that you’re not alone: https://consciouscat.net/category/pet-loss/

Loss is always hard, especially when it was a long term relationship. My oldest is now 20, has been with me since she was a kitten. While preparing myself (as best one can!) for losing her, I lost a different one suddenly. It does get better over time, but the loss and hurt never really goes away.

Although your relationship with your new kitty is different, remember that cats, like people, all come with different purrsonalities! Accept and love this new bundle of fur for who she is – she (and no other cat) will replace your lost kitty, they can fill another place in your heart.
