When Zorro was first brought to the Pennsylvania SPCA shelter, he could barely tolerate being touched. It turned out he had bladder stones. During recovery from his surgery to remove the stones, he started cuddling with the veterinary nurses caring for him. “When they would clean his cage, he would give them a hug and stay there, soon he would start nudging their heads and purring, sometimes he even kissed their faces,” said Gillian Kocher, Director of Public Relations of the PSPCA. If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we told you about a new drug for the treatment of FIP, on Tuesday, I reviewed the life changing Bissell Air Ram cordless vacuum cleaner, on Wednesday, we announced that the new Assisi Loop Lounge™ is now available, on Thursday, we introduced Dr. Marci Koski, who will take over our Ask the Cat Behaviorst column, and on Friday, I reviewed Gwen Cooper’s new book, My Life in a Cat House.

Today’s video of a kitty “making biscuits” cracked me up. He looks like he’s taking his video lesson very seriously!

Have a great weekend!

  1. Zorro, we are happy that you feel so much better now. Kitty hugs are just so wonderful. That photo just melts our heart with love. Love the video of the kitty practicing how to knead dough. Looks like a pro at it. Thanks for the share. Have a great weekend.
