47 Comments on Giveaway: Tail It Pet GPS Tracking Device

  1. I’d like to know where my cat Mia actually goes. Sometimes I think she dogo far but then I see her across the road annoying other cats x

  2. Recently my brothers cat disappeared we worried and looked for her for more then 24 hours it was horrible. Thankfully she showed up but would of been so nice to have this and know where the kitty was. We think a neighbor had it in their house playing with their kids. Would of given us a piece of mind to have this at the time.

  3. While Piper the Puma is chipped and is never allowed outside unless I am home, this would give me great peace of mind when she is out. At 15 years young, she still has plenty of kitten left in her. I have always wanted one for her.

  4. Every cat (pet) should have one of these! I would love to have one for my kitty who refuses to come inside.

  5. We have a rambunctious 2 yr old that enjoys bolting for an open door. Therefore, Tail It Pet would be reassuring to have on her.

  6. It makes me a little sad to think about the cats I’ve lost over the years who might still be with me if they’d had something like this… but I’m glad that it exists now 🙂

  7. I need this tracking collar for my search & rescue cat Henry!

I’ve been looking for the perfect cat collar with 3G capability and would love to tell others what is Lost Cat’s Henry finds about this option. When I find Lost Cat’s owners always ask me, “What collar system should I get so I don’t go through this again?!?”

I’d love to at last have something to recommend.

  8. We live in a rural area and it would relax me more than anything to be able to track my cat when we allow her to go outdoors.

  9. I would love to have this for our kitten who loves to go outside on a harness. I would hate to lose her and not be able to track her. This would be very helpful.

  10. My cat is indoor cat, he always runs off as my mom forgets to close door or window. Would be nice to prevent him from getting lost.

  11. My cat, Hamilton, is a very adventurous guy and I’m always very careful so he doesn’t sneak out. This would be very helpful if that ever did happen.

  12. Finally, a light weight tracker not limited to a few hundred yards. I would love to get one for my tuxedo Freddie.

  13. it would be so good as cats so often get caught up in sheds etc and this would help a lot in finding them

  14. My Sebastian could really use this. He has a chip, but that doesn’t help me when he’s missing. It would give peace of mind. I love him so much and I worry about him.

  15. We believe in indoor only kitties but have ended up with a “garage cat” who was feral. We have tried to get her to come in but she will not. She never wanders far but would love to have this to locate her just in case.

  16. We have indoor cats, but a GPS tracking device would give me peace of mind that we’d find them if they ever got lost. Also, one of them loves to go outside on adventures with me, and so I’d like extra security for her.

  17. Having acquired the outside cats with our house, I do worry so much more about them than I do Abby. This would really help in locating them when they’ve decided to take a vacation without telling me. Wonderful idea. Thanks, Ingrid!

  18. our oldest doggie Charlie loves to escape. It would be a relief to be able to find him quickly using gps

  19. Heaven forbid something were to happen & one of my boys get out again, but it happened 4 years ago & Chesney was gone almost 3 weeks, only by the Grace of God did I stumble o to him one night, after so much searching & tears he fared better than I, and was ok❤️

  20. Great peace of mind. Our 4 are indoor kitties but occasionally even inside they can hide good specially when it’s time for meds. Also if they ever did get out this tracking device would be h fantastic. I would love to win this

  21. I have a cat who is very sneaky and very fast! He darts out the door before I realize what’s happening. We used to live on a large, fenced in property. We just moved and the property is much smaller and not fenced in. If he gets out here, he may just disappear. This tracker could save his life! Thank you for the opportunity, Ingrid!

  22. I have a cat that loves to go outside, this would be great to have in case he wanders too far off.

  23. One of my indoor cats learned how to open my screen door and while I was outside feeding my rescues Midget got out. It was a horrible feeling as he is 9 and had never been out before. After about an hour of me screaming and crying for him he came out from under my trailer

  24. I have one cat that is interested in going outside and will try to run out if I’m not careful opening and closing the doors. She is a scaredy cat too so if she did get out and gets lost, I worry no one will ever be able to catch her to get her back home.

  25. I am having trouble with raffelcopter, I would love to have the GPS for my Kitten she is s fast that I’m afraid she will get out of my house an I live in the country

  26. Our kitties are indoor but one Beastie (Poppy) loves to dart out. Ever since they destroyed the forests in our county, especially in our town, the coyotes have been much more bold. Thankfully we’ve always found her and despite her sneakiness she still gets out from time to time. This would be amazing to be able to find her quickly and safely.

  27. We’ve begun taking our two cats in the backyard with leashes on (my husband dreams of walking them), and having the peace of mind that we could track should one get away is a nice thought.

  28. I did not manage to comment through Rafflecopter but will do it here. I would love to get trackers for our two cats, but the options seem poor. Most deviced sold in my country are designed for hunting dogs and are therefore too big, clumsy or heavy for a small cat. Ordering from internet, I don’t know whether devices will work in my country (different network? 3G 4G? satellite coverage? SIM-card size? No idea. I’m no engineer.) It would be easiest if I won this device, I would get some tracking device without having to choose from poor options. Tail it Pet seems like the best option because of its small size, but as it is not commercially available yet (?) it would also be nice to get it this way! One of my cat goes out on a leash and the other is indoors only, but I’m always worried about accidents and would love to have trackers on both of them, but they’d need to be so small and light that the cats would not mind them.

    • Tytti – your said: “but as it is not commercially available yet (?)”. Just above the FTC disclosure, it has a link:
“please visit Tail It’s Kickstarter campaign.”
You could try that, if you wanted to buy one to try it.

I don’t allow my cats to go out. They have plenty of room to roam in the house and having been indoor only as well as having to keep some separation via screen doors inside, they KNOW their boundaries and do not try to “scoot” out (yes, if a door was left open, for sure one or more might venture out, but the doors are not left open unless it is protected with a screen door.)
Having lost 3 in a short time to FeLV (long before there was a vaccination), one of those injured prior to that and even before that losing one to a car, I will not allow my cats out. Where I live now there are just too many hazards. IF and ONLY if I had a secure back yard would I consider letting my kids out. Even then, they can still pick up parasites or worse. Keeping them safe is the primary reason for not allowing them out, but it also allows me to skip multiple vaccinations! At this point all they get is the required rabies vax, nothing else.
