I continue to be in awe of how much stray cats are loved in Turkey. Last week, we told you about a tortie who owns an Instanbul metro station. Today’s story is about Tombi, an orange stray who appeared on the grounds of an elementary school in Izmir, Turkey. After living in the school’s garden for a few weeks, Tombi walked into Mrs. Ivasçu’s third grade classroom. While some might think that the cat would be a distraction, the opposite was true: seeing the cat’s playful curiosity actually caused Mrs. Ivasçu’s students to become more excited to be in class. If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we offered tips on how to stop a cat from spraying, on Tuesday, we told you how to transition your cat to a raw diet, on Wednesday, we paid tribute to Jackson Galaxy’s beloved Velouria, on Thursday, we celebrated our 9th anniversary (don’t forget to enter our BIG giveaway – 9 grand prizes, 9 winners!) and on Friday, we featured Clea Simon’s The Feline Mystique: On the Mysterious Connection Between Women and Cats as part of our Classic Cat Books series.
Today’s video is an older one of Allegra that I came across the other day. She was about 10 months old, and fascinated with Q-tips. Enjoy!
Have a great weekend!
