5-year-old Shon Griffin is a familiar sight on Philadelphia’s northeast side as he dons different superhero capes to help his two aunts, Kia Griffin and Kris Papiernik, care for homeless cats and kittens in four locations served by their feline foster and rescue charity, Kolony Kats. For more about this remarkable young man, along with some wonderful photos, please visit Peoplepets.com.

If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we stressed that you don’t need to give up your cat when you’re pregnant, on Tuesday, we celebrated Halloween, on Wednesday, we launched our Holiday Gift Guide, on Thursday, we reviewed PetFusion’s super cozy quilted pet blanket, and on Friday, we reviewed How to Draw Cats and Kittens: A Complete Guide for Beginners.
