I’m delighted to announce that I enrolled my book Adventures in Veterinary Medicine:What Working in Veterinary Hospitals Taught Me About Life, Love, and Myself  in the Amazon Prime Reading program. This means that if you’re a Prime member, you can read the book for free.

And don’t worry if you don’t have a Kindle: Prime Reading works on any device with the free Kindle app for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, PC and Mac.

The book offers a unique look at what really goes on in a veterinary hospital through the eyes of a former veterinary hospital manager, aka, yours truly. The book provides insight into what makes veterinary medicine such a rewarding profession through a series of stories about some of the pets I connected with during my twelve years working in the field.

Praise for Adventures in Veterinary Medicine

From Dr. Marty Becker, “America’s Veterinarian” and resident veterinarian for “The Dr. Oz Show:”

“As a ‘veteran veterinarian’ with more than 30 years in practice, I found myself nodding in recognition throughout Ingrid King’s heartwarming book. Take a look behind the scenes at my beloved profession, and the people and pets who make veterinary medicine a rewarding adventure. You won’t regret it, I promise.”

From Patrick Mahaney, VMD, owner and president of California Pet Acupuncture and Wellness and writer/blogger:

“In reading Ingrid King’s Adventures in Veterinary Medicine, I was taken back to the feeling of excitement experienced when I first worked as a technician during my college years. From learning the initial approach to a fractious cat to the inevitable frustrations associated with being part of a professional care giving team, I’ve been there too.  It’s refreshing to feel such resonance with an author who has dedicated herself to the betterment of animal health and welfare in veterinary practice and in her media career.”

Beautiful. The author makes you love these precious animals too. I want to go home from work and hug my 14 year old Ragdoll cat, Princess Leia. Thank you.

Morning! Is there any other way besides a kindle I can read your book? I’m really interested. Like, for example, paying the kindle version and getting a pdf or something instead. Don’t have a kindle, sorry! Thank you and best wishes on your publication, Laura

You don’t need a Kindle to be able to read the Kindle book, Laura. Simply download the free Kindle reading app (link in the post above) available for any computer or device. If you run into any problems, let me know!
