When it comes to preventing litter box odors, I believe that the most effective way to do it is to scoop frequently. I work from home, and I usually scoop practically as soon as Allegra or Ruby finish doing their business. I realize that that’s not practical for everyone, but at a minimum, litter boxes should be scooped twice a day, and the entire box should be dumped out, cleaned and refilled with fresh litter once a month.
Cats Incredible™ Litter from Lucy Pet Products has developed a new way to stop litter box odors. A patent pending technology called The Smell Squasher™, which is exclusive to Lucy Pet Products, actually stops ammonia from forming inside the litter box. This clumping clay litter comes with the adorable nick name of “SuperKittyKattakalizmik Klumping Litter for Cats.”
The litter comes in a clever, patent-pending cat shaped bag with two ergonomic handles and a side spout that makes it easy to pour. The bag is recyclable and non-pollutant. It is available in an unscented formula and a lavender scented formula. Since I don’t recommend scented litters, I would suggest going with the unscented formula.
Cats Incredible™ is part of Lucy Pet Products’ “Products With A Cause” program. All profits are donated to the Lucy Pet Foundation to reduce pet overpopulation through mobile spay & neuter clinics as well as fund other animal related welfare causes.

May 26, 2016 at 12:28 pm (4 years ago)I bought a Litter Robot and I love it. No more scooping. I have two cats and need to empty the drop draw 2 times per weeks. I clean the Litter Robot once per month and refill with fresh litter. During the month I just need to add litter as the need arises. I love not scooping anymore and think it was well worth the rather hefty price.

May 26, 2016 at 8:41 am (4 years ago)My cats have never had issues with scented cat litter, and the lavender scent sounds wonderful. Even though we have multiple litter boxes in our house, the cats mostly use the one in the main floor bathroom, so I have to scoop it at least twice a day. We had three cats until February, when we lost our senior Maine Coon, Koneko, and are hoping to adopt another one soon, so we’ll be back to three cats.

May 26, 2016 at 7:54 am (4 years ago)I’d love to try this! I have a big problem with amonia smell in my covered box, yet I scoop daily.

May 26, 2016 at 7:25 am (4 years ago)Great! I’ll take one of each, or, just the unscented. This is a litter entire package that I can get behind. I have 9 kitties, and litter is very important here. I am on a limited income, so if I win this, it will help out.

May 26, 2016 at 7:20 am (4 years ago)Both my cats ” announce ” with a big meow as soon as they go in the litter box ( btw both share one and they have no problem ).
I use sand with Lavender and they don’t mind at all

May 26, 2016 at 7:13 am (4 years ago)Annie and I have been struggling to find just the right combo of effective, clumping litter that doesn’t have such a strong fragrance that it gives me a headache (and she probably hates it, too). This sounds like just the right balance. Would love to try it.

May 26, 2016 at 4:38 am (4 years ago)while i love the smell of Lavender, I agree the best for Daisy is the unscented version. I love the fact that the packaging is recyclable. This is not always considered important these days when so much is made of plastic! That is great!
