Do you have a cat who gobbles up his own meal and then steals everyone else’s food? Do you have a cat who needs to eat a diet that’s different from what everyone else in your household eats? Does the dog eat your cat’s food? The new SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder may solve these problems for you. The feeder uses RFID technology to read a cat’s veterinarian-inserted microchip and determine whether or not to let the cat inside. The feeder also works with the SureFlap RIFD collar tag. When the feeder is not in use, the food compartment is covered with a clear lid. As the cat approaches the feeder, it reads the cat’s chip and the lid retracts.

48 Comments on Giveaway: SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder

  1. This would help with keeping the dog out of the cat food! I also occasionally need to leave the cats overnight while I travel, and this would help control their food portions on those nights.

  2. I would love to have this for my Gabriel. He doesn’t always want to eat all of his meal at once, but his sister, Lily firmly believes all food left out is fair game and should be eaten immediately.

  3. This is a terrific invention and I’m glad to learn of it. We could put this to good use with our little underweight gal thereby giving her access to food round-the-clock while keeping everyone else on their schedule. Thanks for the giveaway!

  4. My sister has 3 rescue cats and this is ALWAYS an issue for her–the food stealing, a cat who needs a special diet, etc. I’d love for her to have this!

    • I was having trouble leaving a comment after I did my entry via the “widget” so I’ll try leaving it here. I need this feeder because I have a greedy cat on a special diet. I would use the feeder for my second cat’s food, so the overweight cat will have a happy tummy & will lose some weight.

  5. It’s for my friend’s cats….one is a gobbler, one is a grazer, so obviously they need something like this!

  6. With this our cat we call “little one” would have a chance to actually eat her food without the other animals stealing it from her. She is such a slow eater and it’s very difficult to ensure she gets her complete meal every day.

  7. I’m a night eater, and Adora eats all my special food, when no one is looking. This would be soooooo cool! Now I can eat when I want and it’s all mine❤️

  8. Oh my gosh… I would LOVE to have this for my cat, Katie. Her adorable, food-thieving brother (Waffles) is CONSTANTLY trying to steal her food. I have to stand guard at every meal. This would be life changing! ; )

  9. This is so neat! I love that it covers up the food when not in use. I have several cats and it would make feeding them a lot easier.

  10. I REALLY need this for Lola. I am a Veterinary Technician and recently rescued Lola who was brought to our clinic to be euthanized due to her chronic skin allergies. We have placed her on a strict hypoalllergenic diet however despite trying EVERYTHING she still constantly gets into our other two clinic cat’s food that also live at the hospital with her. This makes her super itchy and she now has to wear a “cone of shame” at all times 🙁 If she was unable to access other foods, she would be much more comfortable and have a better quality of life

  11. I need it for my grand baby kitty who eats all the food and the other baby gets none. We have tried many suggestions and nothing has worked so were desperate

  12. My poor foster kittens would love this! I have a rescue cat, who I adopted a couple years ago. Since she was my only cat, it was never a problem to manage her food. Now that I’m fostering another cat, they seem to disagree about eating habits; namely, my cat Tali will try to eat all the cat food I put out to the point where she makes herself sick and my poor foster baby doesn’t get to eat! This would be a huge help for my babies. <3

  13. Wow, what a great idea! This would be great to keep everyone out of one of my boy’s special urinary care food.

  14. What a brilliant idea! I have a micro-chipped cat who’s diet is completely different from my tabby’s. This would be so helpful!

  15. I really need this feeder because I have 2 cats that need special diets and winning one would help a great deal!

  16. That is a great idea. Snowball could use it, she eats very slow and everyone tries to steal from her. If she had that it would shut when she ran away so no one else could eat it up.

  17. I have three brothers who have food allergies, and they all eat different foods. This would be a great start for stress-free feeding for canned or raw cat food.

  18. Oh my gosh, our cats need this. We need this…to restore stress free eating for the cats and for us! One cat is on a special diet and the other three surround her bowl when she tries to eat and the minute she walks away from the bowl, they’re into it.

  19. I would like to win the SureFeed Microchip pet feeder for a friend and cat sitting client. Her boys Chris and Tim always need to be separated at meal time. They are both on a prescription diet for separate medical conditions- Timmy gobbles up his food and then tries to eat Chris’ food.

  20. What a great idea! We have 2 cats on a hypoallergenic diet that cannot eat the other cat’s food. This would solve a lot of problems!

  21. I have had my eye on this product since it came out overseas. I think it is an amazing product and would love to be able to help mitigate the food-stealing that goes on in my house! I also have one cat on a special diet, which makes feeding an additional challenge.

  22. I need to keep Leonardo’s special food away from the other cats (not to mention the dog); right now it’s a dance.

  23. This would be great because my cat is a pig and we can’t leave him, even overnight, because he would gobble down ALL of his food at one sitting and have nothing for the next day. Also, he eats a different kind of food from our second cat.

  24. My human says she could have totally used this when Sparkle was alive! And even now, sometimes Binga eats more slowly, and she says it would be nice to not have to keep an eye on her – I mean, me and Boodie! – while she is finishing up.

  25. Ingrid,

We have become a cat and dog house. We rescued a stray running down the street. While Magellan does not love her-I would say he tolerates her they will sleep near each other-poor Magoo-she is always stealing his food.
