Mews and Nips: Cartier’s Winter Tale Brings Fantasies To Life With Baby Panthers

I’ve loved Cartier’s panther campaigns since they released their ”L’Odysée de Cartier” commercial two years ago. The gorgeously produced fantasy featuring a crystal-encrusted panther come to life and his adventurous journey through spectacularly beautiful scenery, accompanied by a dramatic musical score, took my breath away. Cartier has since used the panther in its product line and advertising in a lot of different ways. This year’s “Winter Tale” features two adorable baby panthers frolicking in the snow and delivering presents. Their gift delivery technique may need a little work, but I dare you not to squee at the beautifully shot video at the end of this post.

Cartier also incorporated the baby panther theme in its Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City. Since I wasn’t able to get up to the city during the holidays this year, my friend Lynn was kind enough to snap some pictures so I could share them with you. Check out the panther on top of the store!

Thank you, Ingrid, for sharing the pics from the Fifth Ave. windows! I, too, am a big fan of the Cartier commercials and subscribe to their YouTube videos. There is a website for the making of L’Odysee commercial which is really fascinating to watch and gives the viewer a behind the scenes look at such a beautiful piece of film: http://www.odyssee.cartier.us/#/bonus. The music still brings tears to my eyes……

Thanks for sharing the link to the “making of” video, Susie. I watched it before, but I never get tired of watching that!
