I have been admiring Michelle Wolff’s cat drawings and paintings for quite some time. Six months ago, I received a lovely email from Michelle, thanking me for including her in an article I wrote for Answers.com, titled 5 Cat Artists to Watch in 2014. Michelle offered to draw Allegra and Ruby as a thank you. Needless to say, I said yes!
I sent Michelle a selection of photos. I love the two she chose, they’re two of my favorite photos of the girls.
Michelle’s drawings are absolutely beautiful. She captured Allegra and Ruby’s essence purr-fectly. It couldn’t have been easy to render their tortie colors in a pencil drawing, and the photos don’t really do the finished drawing justice. You can actually see individual hairs in their fur!
It took me a while to find the right frames for the drawings. I finally hung them last week, and I can’t help but smile each and every time I look at them.

Thank you Ingrid. It just so happens that my girlfriend is looking for an excellent artist to do a commemorative drawing of her late cat. I can’t wait to show her the gallery.
Wow, these look really amazing!
Aren’t they stunning?
